Issue #9 – Teaching AI to See Beauty
How artists are reclaiming AI as a tool of expression — not erasure.

👋 Hey — Jesse here.
We often hear that AI is taking over the creative world.
But there’s a quieter story happening, too — one that doesn’t get as much attention.
Artists, designers, and creators are beginning to shape AI in a more human way.
Instead of letting it define the creative process, they’re training it to reflect their own unique styles.
I’ve recently been exploring Playform.io: a platform where artists train AI models not to mimic others… but to reflect their aesthetic. Brushstroke by brushstroke. Color by color.
It’s part of a growing movement — artists using AI as a mirror, not a mask.
Not to generate ideas, but to deepen their own.
🖼️ When AI becomes a reflection of individual style, it doesn’t erase the human spark.
It magnifies it.
That’s the future I want to be part of — not one where creativity is outsourced, but one where it’s augmented.
Maybe AI isn’t the end of originality.
Maybe it’s a new lens to help us see beauty more clearly.
